Community businessman and real estate investor, Ralph Perrone, who has served over 600 hours this year alone for the Cocoa Police Department as an Auxiliary Officer, was unanimously chosen by the Cocoa City Council as the 2017 City of Cocoa Volunteer of the year.
The week of April 24-28th is recognized nationally as a week to thank and recognize volunteers who give their time, talent, and support for our communities. The five members of the Cocoa City Council each year select one of the over 125 volunteers for the city as the Volunteer of the Year and recognizes them at a Council Meeting.
Ralph was sworn in early 2015 as an Auxiliary Officer with the Cocoa Police Department. In his duties as Auxiliary Officer, Perrone assists with community events and patrols. Perrone is also a board member for Cocoa Community First, the non-profit organization that raises funds for the Cocoa Police Department’s many youth and community outreach efforts including playing an instrumental role in the Breakfast with the Chief fundraiser. Perrone’s dedication and commitment to our community is truly appreciated.
