I am so proud to represent District 1 for the City of Cocoa. I have always had a passion to serve and volunteer in my community just as my parents, James and Betty Goins, had volunteered their time for many years to various community organizations.
I am a graduate of Rockledge High School and I also attended Bethune Cookman University for Business Education.
I was an active member of the City of Cocoa’s Board of Adjustment for two years (until I was elected as City Councilman); and am a current member of the Tourism Development Council of Brevard, Brevard County Youth Football and Cheerleading, and the NAACP.
I am supported in my new position by my lovely wife, Phylicia Goins, and my two children, Jaida Williams-Goins and Jacquez Goins.
I have been employed by ABC Land Clearing and Development for fourteen years and the experience I have gained in the construction field has prepared me to be an asset to the citizens of Cocoa as we prepare for growth in our City.
