Health First 2022 Mayors’ Fitness Challenge 

Twelve mayors in Brevard County, including Cocoa Mayor Michael Blake, are challenging their citizens to get involved in a healthy competition. The FREE 8-week challenge will track the minutes of participants’ healthy activities. The municipality reporting the most minutes of physical activity will be named “Most Fit City.”

Help the City of Cocoa win the title this year! 

About the Challenge: 

Twelve mayors in Brevard County are challenging their citizens to get involved in a friendly competition to determine who will earn the title of Most Fit City 2022. The participating municipalities are: 

  • City of Cape Canaveral
  • Cocoa
  • Cocoa Beach
  • Grant-Valkaria
  • Indian Harbor Beach
  • Indialantic
  • Melbourne
  • Melbourne Beach
  • Palm Bay
  • Rockledge
  • Satellite Beach
  • West Melbourne

The municipality whose team reports the most minutes of physical activity will be the winner of the competition.

Registration opens December 6, 2021. Registration is on-going; you can join at any point throughout the challenge. The challenge begins January 29, 2022 and runs through the end of March 2022.

How the Challenge Works:

The challenge begins with a Kick-off Event on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 9:00 am at Viera Regional Park. You do not have to attend this event to participate.

January 29 – March 2022 — The challenge is on! 

All participants in the Mayors' Fitness Challenge start moving and shaking. The winning team will be determined by the total number of minutes exercised by the members of each team. The municipality with the most points will win the challenger trophy, “Most Fit City 2022.”  

The municipality with the most points at the end of March 2022 will win the challenge trophy and the title of Most Fit City 2022!
